What we collect
- Account data — name, username, email, phone (optional), profile photo, date of birth.
- Content — videos, photos, audio, captions, comments, messages, live streams and their replays, walkie-talkie channel membership.
- Usage data — what you watch, like, follow, search and share; device model, OS, app version; crash and error reports.
- Location — only with your permission, for the map, navigation and nearby features. You can revoke it in system settings at any time.
- Purchases — credit purchases and marketplace orders. Card details are processed by Apple, Google or Stripe — we never see or store card numbers.
- AI interactions — prompts to the assistant and AI music, and (if enabled) facts the assistant remembers to personalise its answers. You can view and delete these.
How we use it
- To run the Service: hosting and delivering your content, messaging, live streaming, navigation, purchases.
- To personalise feeds, search and AI suggestions.
- To keep the Service safe: moderation, spam and abuse prevention, debugging.
- To communicate with you: service notifications and, with consent, marketing.
Who we share it with
- Service providers — cloud hosting (Railway), database (MongoDB Atlas), media storage/CDN (Cloudflare R2), push notifications (Firebase), live audio/video (Agora), maps (Google), AI providers (Google Gemini, MiniMax), payments (Apple, Google, Stripe). Each receives only what it needs to provide its function.
- Other users — content you post publicly, your profile, and activity you choose to share.
- Legal — when required by law or to protect users and the Service.
- We do not sell your personal information.
Retention & deletion
We keep data while your account is active. Deleting your account (Settings → Delete account, or this page) removes your profile and content from the Service; backups and logs are purged on a rolling schedule (up to 90 days). Some records (e.g. purchases) may be retained where the law requires.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (including California CCPA/CPRA and EU/UK GDPR), you may have rights to access, correct, export, delete, or restrict processing of your data, and to opt out of targeted advertising. Contact info@vooconnect.com — we respond within 30 days.
Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we delete accounts we learn belong to them.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and protected with access controls. No system is perfectly secure; report concerns to info@vooconnect.com.
Changes
We will announce material changes in the app before they take effect.
